Samburu Intrepids Club
is a luxury tented camp which lies under a canopy of shady
giant fig and acacia trees on the northern banks of the Ewaso
Nyiro River in Samburu Game Reserve. The spacious public areas
are on wooden decks built on stilts and overlooking the river.
The large and airy tents are also built on raised wooden platforms
each with it's own private verandah with reclining chairs
and footstools. The tents are cooled, not only by the luxuriant
vegetation but by a roof of palm thatch overhead and the interiors
by an overhead fan. Facilities include a sparkling swimming
pool to enjoy during the heat of the day.is a traditional
safari style tented camp situated just outside Amboseli and
is kept as simple as possible so that you can still "listen
to the quiet, smell air clean enough to eat and try to count
a million stars".
Ol Kanjau is sited at the end of Africa's largest hill slope,
Mt Kilimanjaro, adjacent to Amboseli National Park and is
surrounded by a larger area of true African bushland wilderness
owned by Kisongo Masai pastoralists who benefit directly when
one visits this unrivalled wild open space.
