Meru National park is in the old Northern
Frontier District. It is an arid park dotted
with gigantic baobab trees and crystal clear
streams.
This lodge was George Adamsons
first camp and is named after Joy and Georges
first orphan lion that they reared and released
'Elsa'. The landscape is arid but with lush
veins of thirteen rivers and numerous streams.
There is plentiful wildlife
here but it is shy and exciting to track. You
can find Besia Oryx, Gerenuk, Elephant, Grevy
Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and many more plus
all the big cats. Each cottage is spacious
and unique, constructed using natural materials
incorporating the feature of the hillside. The
beds look out onto your private verandah with
stunning views of the surrounding park
